Your Photo

Before You Select A Photo

Please send us the largest size picture you have. Generally, if the picture looks small on your screen, its probably too small for us to use. The image should fill your monitor, or a large portion of it.

Also, your file name must not contain illegal characters such as /, #, $, @, etc. It may contain letters A-Z, numbers 0-9, hyphens ( - ) and underscores ( _ ). If your file contains these characters, it will be rejected and you will be asked to rename the file.

A more technical explanation is that we require 200 pixels per inch for publication in the paper, so an image that is 2000 pixels wide can be published at 10 inches wide. Generally, 2000 pixels is a good minimum size for our use. Larger is even better.

Select your photo below. You may only select a JPG/JPEG for uploading.

Select a section most appropriate for your photo.

The credit field must contain the name of the person who took the photo.

Edmonton, November 13th-Martha and Henry Citizen pose in front of the Edmonton Journal building with their dog Ruffles Friday. Martha and Henry recently returned from a trip to the south pole, where they encountered penguins by the many thousands. The couple hopes to open a penguin friendship centre in the city where Edmontonians can learn more about the aquatic birds. (Picture by Katy Citizen)
